CELTIC BLOOMING FLOWER STAINED GLASS LAMP

This flowering stained glass lamp is another Celtic design full of symbols and meaning. Celtic flowers were often incorporated into Celtic knots and the resulting designs were often seen as powerful symbols of the interconnectedness of all living things.  Flowers were among the many things that Celtic culture held in high esteem, representing the unendiing cycle of life and nature's eternal beauty.  The rose was often associated with love, purity, and passion. The daffodil was seen as a symbol of renewal and rebirth.  The Thistle was seen as a symbol of strength in the face of adversity. This lamp has a background of off white with lighter brown marbling.  The flower is done with golden and amber colors acceentuated with red glass stones.  A blue and green marbled trim is at the bottom and top of the shade.  It is 22.5 inches in height and the shade's diameter is 14 inches. It holds two light bulbs which brightly illuminate the stained glass design.  Each bulb is turn on and off by a pull chain.  The light bulbs required are Type A and  up to 60 watts.
